Architectural and environmental fluid dynamics
BuildWind uses advanced, three-dimensional numerical simulation to predict airflow, heat transfer, and contaminant transport inside and around buildings. We assist city planners and building designers in creating healthier, safer, and more sustainable urban and industrial environments.
We are involved in several national and international R&D projects, including a CELTIC-NEXT project (2019) on Smart-Cities related technologies where we develop a predictive model for urban air quality assessment.

Brief description of my Organisation
BuildWind is an engineering company based in Brussels, Belgium. We are experts in the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and heat transfer simulation to building and urban design.
Computational Fluid Dynamics provides the most detailed and accurate approach to simulate the aerodynamics and heat transfer for building and urban design. CFD can test new ideas as well as existing buildings, help detect problems and improve performance to increase comfort, reduce energy consumption, emissions, and running costs.
Applications of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) design include wind loads calculation, wind comfort, and safety studies, site planning, outdoor air quality assessment, simulation of Heat Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), indoor air quality assessment, fire and smoke simulation for safety studies.
We are involved in several national and international R&D projects, including a CELTIC-NEXT project (2019) on Smart-Cities related technologies where we develop a predictive model for urban air quality assessment.
