AI4Green: A CELTIC-NEXT Project Success Story

The AI4Green project, launched in September 2019 and concluded in December 2022, tackled one of the most pressing challenges of modern telecommunications: reducing energy consumption in 5G networks. With a consortium of 17 partners spanning five countries and a budget of €5.45M, AI4Green pioneered AI-driven solutions to optimize mobile network energy efficiency without compromising performance.

Dynamic Energy Management: AI algorithms developed during the project enabled real-time energy optimization, resulting in up to 30% savings in mobile networks.
